The award recognizes the employee who has contributed most significantly to the TRAIN® initiative this year.
TAMPA, Fla. - Nominations are now being accepted for the university’s highest honor for excellence in research administration, the TRAIN® Award. Each year, USF Research & Innovation and the Office of the Provost seek to recognize employees who have contributed significantly to the TRAIN® initiative.
To nominate a deserving colleague, submit
- A completed nomination form.
- A letter of endorsement from the nominator (additional letters of endorsement are welcome).
Completed nomination packets (including nomination form and letters of endorsement) must be submitted to TRAIN@usf.edu by Nov. 1, 2013.
The 2013 TRAIN® Award recipient will be honored at the annual TRAIN® Award Luncheon to be held Dec. 4, 2013, at 12:00 p.m., in Traditions Hall at the USF Gibbons Alumni Center, located on the USF Tampa campus. USF System President Judy Genshaft and Dr. Paul Sanberg, senior vice president for Research & Innovation will be on hand to present the award.
The TRAIN® Award Selection Committee will evaluate nominations based on three criteria:
- Exceptional contributions to the TRAIN® initiative in 2013.
- Outstanding team participation in the development and/or implementation of the USF TCRA program.
- High standards and excellence in research administration at USF.
TRAIN® (The Research Administration Improvement Network) is sponsored by the Offices of the Senior Vice President for Research & Innovation and the Provost. Its mission is to build the university’s research support infrastructure by enhancing the professional competencies of those who contribute to the research enterprise, implementing training and education, improving business processes and reporting, and enhancing communication within the research community.
