Deadline Date: 01/20/2010 This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) solicits research project grant (R01) applications that propose high-impact technologies for image-guided interventions. As defined here, image-guided interventions (IGI), integrate images for navigation during a treatment or biopsy. The goal of the IGI initiative is to produce technologies that will replace current treatments with minimally invasive, image-guided interventions. Funding: $750,000 per year (for up to five years) Sponsor: National Institutes of Health (NIH) |
| Plant Genome Research Program (PGRP)
NSF 09-611
Deadline Date: 01/26/2010 This program is a continuation of the Plant Genome Research Program (PGRP) that began in FY 1998 as part of the National Plant Genome Initiative (NPGI). The goal of the NPGI is to develop a basic knowledge of the structures and functions of plant genomes and translate this knowledge to a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of economically important plants and plant processes of potential economic value. Funding: Various Sposor: National Science Foundation (NSF) Directorate for Biological Sciences |
| Pilot Research Grant Program Deadline Date: 02/01/2010 The Center for Hospice, Palliative Care and End-of-Life Studies at the University of South Florida has a limited amount of funds available to sponsor pilot research concerned with palliative care and end-of-life issues. Funding: $5,000 to $10,000 Sponsor: Center for Hospice, Palliative Care and End-of-Life Studies University of South Florida |
| Replication, Fine-Mapping and Sequencing: Follow-Up on Genome-Wide Association Studies for Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (R01) Deadline Date: 06/29/2011 This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), issued by the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, National Institutes of Health, encourages applications that propose to perform replication, fine-mapping, and sequencing studies of human genomic regions that are putatively associated with phenotypes relevant to the NIAMS mission. Funding: $250,000 per year (for up to two years) Sponsor: National Institutes of Health (NIH) |
| HIV Vaccine Research and Design (HIVRAD) Program (P01) Deadline Date: 07/13/2011 The HIV Vaccine Research and Design (HIVRAD) Program, a multi-project, multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS prophylactic vaccine-related funding mechanism is one mechanism that may be used for support of the research priorities identified at the NIAID Vaccine Summit held in March of 2008. Funding: Unspecified Sponsor: National Institutes of Health (NIH) |
| American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Health Information Technology Extension Program: Regional Centers
EP-HIT-09-003 Deadline Date: 08/03/2010 The purpose of the Regional Centers is to furnish assistance, defined as education, outreach, and technical assistance, to help providers in their geographic service areas select, successfully implement, and meaningfully use certified EHR technology to improve the quality and value of health care. Please note: The August 3, 2010 due date is for the third and final full application cycle. See full funding opportunity announcement for the three cycle's preliminary application and full application due dates. |
| Dissecting the Early HIV Immune Response: A Systems Biology Approach (P01) RFA-AI-09-018
Deadline Date: 12/01/2009 This program solicits applications that propose systems biology analyses of early immune responses to HIV/SIV exposure or infection. Funding: $2.5 million per year (for up to five years) Sponsor: National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) National Institutes of Health (NIH) |
| NIH Loan Repayment Programs Deadline Date: 12/01/2009 NIH wants to encourage outstanding health professionals to pursue careers in biomedical, behavioral, social, and clinical research. If you commit at least two years to conducting qualified research funded by a domestic nonprofit organization or U.S. federal, state, or local government entity, NIH may repay up to $35,000 of your qualified student loan debt per year, including most undergraduate, graduate, and medical school loans.
