About the USF Research Park
Located on the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida, the USF Research Park covers more than 112 acres at the heart of the USF community. The Research Park brings together world-class researchers, inventors and entrepreneurs eager to collaborate with a highly-trained, high-tech workforce. (View Research Park parking map.)
The Research Foundation, in association with university leadership, is developing its USF Research Park as a hub for biotechnology, life sciences research and entrepreneurship. In doing so, the Research Foundation is providing the physical structure and community for collaboration, innovation, development, transfer and commercialization of technology. The Research Park and its growing community enable student internships, faculty collaborations, licensing and joint creation of intellectual property, and the forging and facilitation of corporate partnerships.
The USF Research Park is the centerpiece of USF's innovation enterprise, which sustains more than 4,000 public and private sector jobs and returns more than $71 million in tax revenue to local, state and federal coffers.
Located just minutes from three interstate highways (I-75, I-275 and I-4) and 25 minutes from Tampa International Airport, widely known as one of the best airports in the world, the USF Research Park is positioned perfectly to welcome visitors and partners from near and far.
Housed within the Research Park, USF's incubator is home to more than 65 resident and affiliate companies and dozens more student-led startups who are mentored and supported in their development in the USF Student Innovation Incubator. USF has a strong emphasis on biotechnology and life sciences research and entrepreneurship with more than half of the incubator companies focused on life sciences. Additionally, nearly half of the companies are commercializing technologies developed by USF faculty researchers.
