Registration for
BioSafety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Continuing Education Course (On-line)

This meets annual continuing education requirement for those who
have taken the basic USF Biosafety Course (live) in a previous year.

Annual continuing education is required for all Principal Investigators, staff, and/or graduate/undergraduate students who use/store recombinant DNA, infectious agents, select agents, and biological toxins and recommended for those who work in a laboratory where these materials may be used/stored.

Course Description

Learn the Proper Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  1. Overview of PPE for Use in Biomedical Laboratories
  2. Comparison of PPE Types
    Protection levels, limitations, material types, selection, and use
  3. Hazard Recognition
  4. Policy
  5. Safe and Effective Use of PPEs
