This manual has been developed as an online resource for Division of Sponsored Research (DSR) personnel to support the administration of sponsored research at the University of South Florida.

Division of Sponsored Research: Sponsored Research is a very important part of the University's stategic mission and accounts for a significant portion of the university's expenditures in any given year. The ever increasing amount of research brings with it constantly changing legal, financial and administrative requirements which must be taken into account. Because of the complexity of all of these factors, it is important that all proposals, contracts and agreements be reviewed centrally by the university to ensure that government regulations and university policies and procedures are followed. Failure to comply with these regulations could cause the university to be subject to penalties or fines or commit the university to obligations that it cannot meet.
